The Coverage Gap Checkup

By Colin Karich, Licensed Insurance Agent • Farragut, TN • Free • About 2 minutes

What this is

Ten quick questions about your household, vehicles, and property. Based on your answers, this tool flags the coverage gaps most commonly found in Farragut and Knoxville policies and links you to a full guide on each one.

Nothing is submitted, stored, or sent anywhere. Your answers stay in your browser. This is a starting point for a conversation, not a quote or a coverage determination.

Most people are not underinsured because they made a bad decision. They are underinsured because something in their life changed and the policy did not change with it. A teenager started driving. The deed went into a trust. The boat got upgraded. The rental got listed on Airbnb. Every one of those creates a specific, predictable gap. Here is how to find yours.

Questions About the Checkup

Is this a quote?

No. This tool identifies coverage gaps that commonly apply to households answering the way you did. It does not price anything, and it cannot see your actual policy. A free review with a licensed agent is the only way to confirm what you actually carry.

Do you collect or store my answers?

No. The checkup runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is transmitted, saved, or shared. If you want to talk through your results, you contact me, not the other way around.

What is the most common gap you find in Knoxville-area policies?

Missing or low uninsured motorist coverage. Roughly one in five Tennessee drivers carries no insurance, and Tennessee does not require you to protect yourself against them. It typically adds about 5 to 10 percent to a premium, which makes it one of the best values available. Close behind is a dwelling limit set to market value instead of rebuild cost.

How long does a real coverage review take?

Usually 15 minutes by phone or in person at the Farragut office. Bring or send your current declarations page and I can tell you exactly where you stand, including whether staying with your current carrier is the better move.

This tool provides general educational information based on common coverage scenarios and does not evaluate, interpret, or determine coverage under any specific insurance policy. Results are not a quote, an offer of coverage, or a guarantee. Actual coverage, limits, and exclusions are governed solely by your policy documents. Consult a licensed agent regarding your specific situation. Colin Karich is a licensed insurance agent in the State of Tennessee.
